Welcome to the Philosophy of Consent Blog

This blog is devoted to the discussion of philosophical matters connected to sexual consent. It is part of a grad seminar on sexual consent at the University of British Columbia, running July–August 2019. Its authors are the seminar participants. (Anyone in the world is welcome to participate via commenting.)

We'll work out over the coming weeks just what kind of material it makes sense to include here, but some of our plans include:

  • posting summaries of course readings
  • writing posts to articulate central questions among the course material
  • describing some of the central (real or imaginary) cases that may illustrate or test philosophical theories
  • developing original philosophical arguments
Some posts may be written anonymously; some may be written jointly by multiple seminar participants.
